RRB Ahmedabad
Railway Recruitment Board, Ahmedabad traces its origin to 1983, when it was established as a Railway Service Commission to meet the recruitment needs of Western India. In January 1985, all Railway Service Commissions were renamed as Railway Recruitment Boards, formally integrating them into the present RRB framework.
Initially located at Kalupur railway station, the Board office was shifted in 2021 into a new building near Divisional Railway Manager’s Office, Ahmedabad. Over the years, it has evolved from traditional recruitment methods to transparent, technology-driven processes, including computer-based examinations.
The Board plays a key role in recruiting personnel for various units of the Western Railway which include Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, and Vadodara Divisions and Workshops at Bhavnagar, Dahod, Pratapnagar, and Sabarmati of Western Railway.
