1. Rail Surkasha Kalyan Nidhi Following benefits are available under various schemes  of  RSKN I. Death A. Death Lump sum grant of Rs. 60000/- B. Death due to encounter With subversive/antisocial elements. Lump Sum grant of Rs. 2 lakhs II . Relief for decategorisation/Invalidation Invalidation by maiming or any other kind of disablement in the course of duty Rs. 50,0000/- Lump sum and monthly pension of Rs. 1000/-p.m . for 10 years or till alternative appointment  or superannuation, whichever is earliest. III. Disablement for causes other than duty Rs. 25000 lump sum and monthly pension of Rs 500/- p.m. for 5 years or till the age of superannuation or reemployment on any other job in the railway whichever is earlier. IV. Decategorisation due to Periodical medical examination No benefit shall be given normally. However, when a member is declared completely unfit for all categories, a lump sum amount of Rs. 25,000 and a pension of Rs. 600/- p.m. For five years or till a compassionate appointment is given to dependent whichever is earlier. V. Funeral Expenses                    Rs. 7000/- in each case of death. VI . Vipatti Sahayata Zonal Railway Managing Committee Up to a maximum of Rs. 20,000 Managing Committee at Nidhi HQ Upto a maximum of  Rs. 50,000 Total  Rs. 50,000 Managing Committees should exercise discretion and consider only cases where the member is in financial distress on account of prolonged illness or serious accidents where he is not able to bear the expenses in treatment/special diet etc. and needs additional monetary assistance other than what he gets on medical reimbursement. Assistance from VSK should be paid judiciously and not as a matter of routine on receipt of application. VII. Ex gratia Ex Gratia Length of Service Amount On retirement, death or dismissal/removal from service Upto five years of Service Rs. 1000 5 to 10 years Rs. 2000 Above 10 years of Service Rs. 3000 VIII. Educational Assistance     Merit scholarship shall be available to 500 meritorious wards of the Members. CSCs may draw a list of the meritorious wards and grant the schorlarship to the number of Scholarship allotted to them. For 10+2 studies Rs. 150/-p.m.(for 2 years) For 12 plus studies (only for Bachelors degree)   Rs. 200/-p.m. Membership & Subscription (i) Admission Fee: Constable to ASI Rs. 500/-        Constable to ASI Rs. 500/- SI to IPF Rs. 600/- ASC to DIG Rs. 1000/- IG/ADG/DG Rs. 1500/-         (ii) Annual Subscription(to be deducted in January)                   Constable to ASI Rs. 400/- SI to IPF Rs. 600/- ASC/SC/Sr.SC Rs. 1000/- DIG to DG  Rs. 1200/-
