Station Development Dte. deals with developing and re-developing the existing railway stations including works related to major up-gradation of stations.  Also, works related to upgrading the level of passenger amenities through constructing and renovating station infrastructure which includes station buildings, platform surfaces, circulating area, extension and raising  of platforms,  covering over platforms,  foot over bridges at stations,  construction and maintenance of station approach roads within the Railway premises, water supply at station premise, etc. are dealt in this directorate.
