Rates Circular No. 54 of 2004

Sanction of the Central Government is accorded to the revision of the Engine Hire Charges for Ballast trains which are as under:  

          1.         Broad Gauge

i)        Including cost of Loco Crew

Rs.2,100/- (Rupees Two Thousand One Hundred only) per engine per hour subject to a minimum charge of Rs.21,000/- (Rupees Twenty One Thousand only) per day for B.G. 

ii)       Excluding cost of loco crew

Rs.1,900/- (Rupees One Thousand Nine Hundred only) per engine per hour subject to a minimum charge of Rs.19000/- (Rupees Nineteen Thousand only) per day for B.G. 

2.       Metre Gauge

i)        Including cost of loco crew

Rs.1,605/- (Rupees One Thousand Six Hundred Five only) per engine per hour subject to a minimum charge of Rs.16,050/- (Rupees Sixteen Thousand Fifty only) per day for M.G. 

ii)       Excluding cost of loco crew

Rs.1,390/- (Rupees One Thousand Three Hundred Ninety only) per engine per hour subject to a minimum charge of Rs.13,900/- (Rupees Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred only) per day for MG. 

3.         The above charges are applicable to diesel and electric engines.  These charges will be effective from 30.12.2004 and will remain in force till further orders. 

4.         This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate in the Ministry of Railways. 

5.         Necessary instructions may be issued to the staff concerned and receipt of this letter may please be acknowledged.
