Sanction of the Central Government is hereby accorded to delete the Rule No.188, 189 and 190 of the IRCA Goods Tariff No.41 Pt.I, Vol.I.  It has also been decided to  amend the Rule No.191 as under:

Rule 191. Rounding off of total charges.---  After adding any supplementary charges and ‘other charges’ like Out-Agency charge, Port charges etc., to the freight charges, the total charges should be rounded off to the next higher rupee.  The rounding off will be done only for the total chargeable amount only once at the end rather than rounding off the different charges separately.  If supplementary or other charges are not leviable, the freight charges should be rounded off to the next higher rupee.

This issues with the concurrence of Finance Directorate in the Ministry of Railways.
