              Sub:    Waiver of stabling charges on privately/jointly owned wagons (including tank wagons).
 

            A clarification has been sought by South Western Railway whether stabling charges leviable on privately owned wagons or wagons procured under "Own Your Wagon Scheme" (Category 'C'), in terms of Paras 1(iii) and (iv) of Board's letter No.TC-I/98/201/4 dated 1.8.99 may be waived. 

2.         It is clarified that stabling charges leviable on privately owned wagons or wagons procured under Own Your Wagon Scheme (Category 'C') should not be waived except to the extent of Force Majeure Conditions - Viz. Act of God, Act of war or Act of public enemies.

3.        This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of Ministry of Railways.
