SUB: Minimum weight condition for “Coco Brooms”.  


             In terms of Board’s letter of even number dated 16.01.2004 (Rates Circular No. 2 of 2004), sanction of the Central Government was accorded to tentatively fix the minimum weight condition of Coco Broom at W/145(BG) for a period of six months  with effect from 01.02.2004 upto 31.07.2004.   

             The matter has been reviewed in the Board’s office.  Sanction of the Central Government is hereby accorded to extend the minimum weight condition of Coco Broom at W/145  beyond 31.07.2004  and will remain in force till further orders.  

Zonal Railways with originating traffic in Coco Brooms are requested to provide comprehensive test weighment report as per guidelines contained in Board’s letter No.TCR/1394/2002/4 dated 27.1.2003 so that the instructions can be reviewed if required.  

This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate in the Ministry of Railways.  

Please circulate the instructions to all concerned and acknowledge receipt.
