Minimum Weight
Condition for Edible Oils (Oils Div.E) when loaded in BCX/BCN/BCNA wagons.
Sanction of the Central Government is hereby accorded to
tentatively revise the minimum weight condition
of Edible Oils (Oils Div.E) from W/110 to W/160 in four wheeled BG
wagons (i.e. 32 tonne when loaded in BCX/BCN/BCNA wagons).
The minimum weight condition of MG and NG wagons as also the
commodity's classification and packing condition etc. continue to apply
unchanged.
The instruction shall take effect from 04.12.2003 and will
remain valid till further orders.
Zonal Railways with originating traffic of this commodity are
required to conduct comprehensive test weighment and send the test
weighment reports carried out as per new guidelines contained in Board's
letter No. TCR/1394/2002/4 dated 27.1.2003 to see if more than 32 tonnes
of Edible Oils could be loaded in a BCX/BCN/BCNA wagon.
Test weighment may also be conducted in MG wagons to find out if
any upward revision of MWC is required for loading this commodity in MG
wagons.
This
issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate in the Ministry of
Railways.
Suitable instructions may please be issued to all concerned and
acknowledge the receipt of this letter.
