Exemption from levy
of dump charges on traffic booked underspecial arrangements moving
via break of gauge points. |
Reference is invited to the
instructions contained in Board’s letter of even number dated 14.08.2003
and 27.08.2003(Rate Circular No.22 of 2003) on the above subject.
It has been decided that the
exemption from levy of 70 paise per quintal as dump charges for traffic
moving under the special arrangement via dumps will continue for a further
period of one year w.e.f. 16.08.2004.
Zonal Railways on which such
dumps are in operation at break of gauge points may please send a detailed
report indicating the documentation cost involved in preparing rebooking
RRs; amount realized as commercial plot charges; the programme of gauge
conversion of the section and comparative figure of traffic handled &
earnings derived from such dumps for the year 2004-05 by 15th
May’ 2005.
This issues with the concurrence
of the Finance Directorate in the Ministry of Railways.
