             Sub: Levy of dump charges on traffic booked under special arrangements moving via break of gauge points.

Ref:  Board's letter of even number dated 14.08.2003 (Rates circular No.22 of 2003)

           A doubt has arisen on some Railways  whether the 70 paise per quintal dump charges are required to be collected or not.  With a view to clarify, the para 2 of Board's letter referred to above is revised to read as under:

      "The matter has been reviewed by Board and it has been decided that the exemption from levy of 70 paise per quintal as dump charges for traffic moving under the special arrangements via dumps shall continue from 15.8.2002 to 15.8.2004."

      All other terms and conditions mentioned in above letter continue to apply unchanged.
