                Sub: Payment of freight through  Credit Note Cum Cheque  at booking points : Reduction in amount of Bank Guarantee from 15 days to 7 days freight transactions .

             Board had vide their letter of even no. dated 06.06.2003 extended the above facility to Zonal Railways subject to certain conditions. These instructions were valid till 30.06.04.  

 It has now been  decided to extend the above scheme for a further period of one year  from 01.07.2004 to 30.06.2005.  All other terms and conditions stipulated in the above mentioned letter continue to apply unchanged.  

Feedback regarding the working of the scheme may be endorsed to Board by 31.03.2005.  

This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate in the Ministry of Railways.
