Sub:
Classification of Spiral Welded Steel Pipes with diameter less than
610mm.
Ref: Board’s
letter of even number dated 17.02.2003 (Rates Instruction No. 5 of 2003).
Sanction of the Central Government is hereby accorded to extend the
tentative classification of Spiral Welded Steel Pipes with diameter less
than 610mm at Class-200 in wagonloads and Class-190 in trainloads for one
year from 01.03.2004 to 28.02.2005.
All other terms and conditions mentioned in the above referred letter
continue to apply unchanged.
Railways with originating loading may send annual comparative report
of loading and earnings from the commodity from 01.03.2003 onwards.
This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate in the
Ministry of Railways.
Please issue instructions to all concerned.
