The Consolidated List of Subject was last brought out in 2003. Since then a number of changes have taken place in the subjects being handled by different Sections. Accordingly taking into account the various orders/instructions issued since 2003 and decisions given by Secretary, Railway Board on disputed receipts/Parliament Questions/RTI cases, O&M Unit has compiled (in diglot form) a revised consolidated lists of subjects presently being dealt with by the various Sections for information/guidance and record. Every effort has been made to make this booklet exhaustive so as to avoid any dispute in connection with marking of receipts/files etc to particular Officer/Sections.
2. The Parliament Questions, Audit Paras, MPs/VIPs references, RTI cases and the points raised during the meetings of Consultative Committee, Standing Committee, Parliamentary Committee, etc will be dealt with by the Dte.(s)/Sections dealing with the subjects/issues to which these Parl. Questions, Audit Paras etc. relate.
3. All concerned are requested to please go through the duty list and advise O&M Unit about discrepancy(ies), if any. It is also requested that wherever any addition/alterations and/or modifications is made in the duty list of a particular Section the same should be advised to O&M Unit to enable them to issue necessary correction slips. It should, however, be ensured that any change in the list of subjects is made only with the approval of concerned Additional Member.
4. In case of any interpretation or where a subject has not been covered or in case of disputed receipts, the decision of the Secretary shall be final and binding.
